Booking Conditions and Cancellation Policy

A £30.00 non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking or payment in full at the time of booking where the balance due is less than £30.00.

Bookings can only be transferred to another date within the same year if you give more than 14 days notice.


Shop and Reception are open at 09.00am daily. [Easter to October] Closing times vary; notices are displayed on the office door.

Security Barrier on the park entrance For security reasons and to keep noise levels to a minimum there is no vehicle access to the park after 11.30 pm

Driving The speed limit on the main site is 10mph. Uninsured, banned and learner drivers may not drive on the park.

Cars Strictly only one car per pitch. Any second vehicles must be parked on the designated car park at a charge of £3.00 per night.

Electricity 10 amps suitable for lighting, TV and low wattage domestic appliances. Grass pitches have a 6 amp supply suitable for low wattage domestic appliances only. Remember to switch one item off before switching on another. Use gas wherever possible. No electric awning heating.

Generators are not permitted

Children must be accompanied to the amenity blocks by persons of a responsible age. Do not allow children to climb trees. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure the safe supervision of children while on the park and ensure appropriate behaviour at all times. Children/teenagers must be under adult supervision and back at their pitch by 10pm.

Play Area All children must be supervised by their parents/guardians when using the play equipment provided. The play area opens from 8am to 10pm. The toilet block and other occupied pitches are not play areas. Please ensure your children ride bikes on the roadway and not around the amenity block.

Gazebos are not permitted on the main site and only by prior arrangement on the camping field.

Ball Games are only allowed in the designated area provided not on the main park near caravans  

BBQ’s  are permitted using charcoal or gas but must be raised off the grass and not used near trees or hedges. We do not permit the burning of wood or campfires this includes fire pits and chimneas.

Recycling Please dispose of your rubbish responsibly. We can only handle domestic waste. Please do not leave domestic appliances, camping equipment or carpets. There is a council tip in Thornton Dale for large items. Please take glass and paper waste to the recycling area behind the amenity block.

CHINESE LANTERNS These must not be set off from the site. They are a potential fire risk to tents, awnings and surrounding crops and a danger to our livestock.

Noise Consider others keep noise to a minimum between 11pm & 8am. Radios and TV’s to be turned down low especially when used in an awning. No loud music or foul language will be tolerated. Anyone disregarding this request will be asked to leave without refund

Dogs The dog walk is outside the main entrance. Please pick up & use the dog bins. Please keep dogs on a lead on the site and do not leave unattended on site at any time. A maximum of 3 dogs per pitch is permitted.

Grass Depending on ground conditions and your length of stay you may be asked to lift your groundsheet to help preserve the grass for subsequent visitors. To maintain our well kept park it is necessary for us to keep grass cut. Please keep waste masters, water containers etc off the grass. Wind Breaks should be taken down when you go off site incase we are grass cutting that day.

Departure All pitches must be vacated by 11.30am unless prior arrangement has been made at reception.

The owners of Vale of  Pickering Caravan Park are absolved of all liability for accidents to caravans and guests and from responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. Your caravan must be insured for fire theft and third party liability.
